Our specialty camps are designed to provide our campers with unique experiences that will allow them to be creative and explore the world around them. These camp options are available to campers ages 6 to 13. We believe that mixing the ages of our campers into these smaller groups builds on the opportunities to increase friendships and creates a true feeling of community within the day camp structure. Campers can select a maximum of two specialty camps per two-week session.

Sports Specialty Camp (full day program)
SCORE Day Camp is pleased to offer this specialty camp which incorporates fitness and skill lessons in basketball, tennis, baseball, floor hockey, soccer, roller blading, football, and many other exciting activities. This camp is designed to help increase your child’s motor skills, coordination, balance, strength and flexibility. Our multi-faceted approach will allow your child to increase his/her confidence and self-esteem. Whether a “beginner” or an “expert”, the Sports Specialty Camp will provide an opportunity for your child to develop his/her skills in the areas of their choice. The multi-sport program will encourage athletics, good sportsmanship and safety. The camp’s unique structure allows your child to both “major” and “minor” in sports of their choice. During these times, campers will be instructed on skill development in a chosen area by qualified sports instructors, followed by opportunities to practice techniques in organized games.Additionally, campers will have the opportunity to participate in cabin activities, arts & crafts, theme days, tournaments, all star clinics and field trips.

"Micro-Score" Computer Science Specialty Camp (half-day program)
This specialty camp program will teach campers of all levels about the ins and outs of computers. They will create and design their own web page, learn how to take and modify pictures on the computer, and will create a camp newsletter. The campers will also be taught effective Internet searching skills. Campers will return to the general camp program for the second half of the day, or, they can select another half-day specialty camp.

“Inspiration” Art Specialty Camp (half day program)
This specialty camp will provide the campers with creative and intellectual challenges. The program will promote self-expression and artistic skills in painting and drawing, and other visual art activities. This dynamic program will allow the camper to release those hidden artistic talents. A showing of the camper’s work will be presented to the camp, parents, families and friends. Art campers will return to the general camp program for the second half of the day, or, they can select another half-day specialty camp.

Leadership Training
SCORE Day Camp will be offering both a Leadership Training Program (LTP) and a Counselor In Training (CIT). These programs are designed for campers who have completed grades 8 and 9, and are ready to begin their leadership training in a fun and structured environment. The goal of these programs is to prepare campers to become effective future staff members at SCORE. Campers who participate in this program will have their time divided between participating in all of the camp activities, but also in assisting camp counselors and the camp specialists with daily camp routines. They will have the opportunity to show their leadership skills throughout the camp.
